Enter customers at the start of a period and how many left. You get customer churn, retention, compounded annual churn, and a rough lifetime. Optional MRR fields add revenue churn next to logo churn.

The tool is at form.ms/tools/churn-rate-calculator.

1. Open the calculator

Go to the Churn Rate Calculator. Churn is customers lost divided by customers at start.

2. Pick a period and enter counts

Choose Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual. Type Customers at start and Customers lost. Starting MRR and MRR lost are optional. New signups during the period do not go in the start count.

3. Read churn and retention

Annual churn uses 1 minus (1 minus period churn) to the power of n. It does not multiply the monthly rate by 12. Retention and average lifetime sit next to the headline rate.

Numbers stay in your browser. If you track who stayed instead of who left, use the Retention Rate Calculator.
