How to set thank you and closed messages

After someone submits, they see a thank you message. If the form is closed, they see a closed message instead. Both live under Form settings → Messages.

There is no separate thank-you page with extra blocks. It is one message. The closed line only appears when the form is not accepting answers.

1. Open Form settings

In any form, click the gear next to the Build / Share / Responses tabs.

2. Open Messages

In the settings sidebar, click Messages.

3. Edit the copy

You can change:

• Submit button: default Submit (same control as on the Build canvas)
• Thank you message: default Thanks, your response was recorded.
• Closed message: default This form is no longer accepting responses.

To close the form, use Responses in the same sidebar: turn off Accept responses, set Close on a date, or set a Limit responses cap. See Form settings.
