RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS & ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT Please read carefully. By signing this agreement, you are waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue. Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk Participation in equine activities, including riding, training, handling, showing, warming up, and working horses and cattle, involves inherent risks that may result in serious bodily injury, illness, permanent disability, death, or property damage. These risks include falls, kicks, bites, collisions, unpredictable horse or livestock behavior, equipment failure, arena or ground conditions, and the actions or negligence of other participants. I voluntarily accept and assume all risks associated with my participation in or involvement with the Wild West Snaffle Bit Futurity, whether as a competitor, owner, trainer, handler, assistant, or other participant.

Release of Liability and Waiver of Claims In consideration of being permitted to participate, I release and discharge the Wild West Snaffle Bit Futurity, its organizers, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, contractors, officials, judges, and the Calnash Ag Event Centre, including its owners, operators, and representatives, from all claims, demands, actions, damages, costs, or liabilities arising from my participation, including claims resulting from negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This release applies to personal injury, death, loss, theft, or damage to horses, equipment, vehicles, trailers, or other personal property.

Responsibility for Horses and Property I am solely responsible for the care, control, health, safety, and management of any horse under my ownership, training, or supervision. I am responsible for ensuring that horses brought to the event are suitable for the activities and comply with event rules and health requirements. The Wild West Snaffle Bit Futurity and the released parties are not responsible for injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage involving horses, livestock, tack, equipment, vehicles, trailers, or other personal belongings, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Indemnification I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal expenses arising from injury or damage caused by my negligent or wrongful acts or omissions, or by horses under my care or control, except to the extent caused by a released party’s negligence or wrongful conduct.

Compliance with Event Rules I agree to follow all rules, regulations, safety requirements, and instructions established by the Wild West Snaffle Bit Futurity and the Calnash Ag Event Centre. I understand that event management may refuse or discontinue participation because of safety concerns, inappropriate conduct, or violations of event rules. Medical Treatment In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize event personnel to contact emergency medical services on my behalf if necessary. I acknowledge that I am responsible for medical expenses incurred as a result of my participation. Governing Law This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
