# How to use Class Grade Calculator

Enter each assignment score and its syllabus weight. The page shows a weighted
course grade, a letter, and 4.0 GPA points. Weights do not need to total 100 if
some work is still outstanding.

The tool is at form.ms/tools/class-grade-calculator
[https://form.ms/tools/class-grade-calculator].

1. OPEN THE CALCULATOR

Go to the Class Grade Calculator [https://form.ms/tools/class-grade-calculator].
Grade is the sum of (score times weight) divided by the sum of the weights.

2. ADD GRADED WORK

Type a Score % and Weight for each homework, quiz, or exam. Click Add assignment
for more rows. Leave unfinished work blank. Do not enter zeros for work that is
not graded yet. Target grade and Remaining weight are optional.

3. READ YOUR STANDING

You get the weighted percentage, a common US letter, and matching 4.0 GPA
points. Your school may use different letter cutoffs. Trust the percentage
first.

Grades stay in your browser. For any values and weights (credits, portfolio
shares), use the Weighted Average Calculator
[https://formms.help.center/article/1035-how-to-use-weighted-average-calculator].
