# How to use Survey Response Rate Calculator

Enter how many surveys you sent and how many came back. You can subtract
undeliverable contacts and optionally compare the rate to a published
survey-type average.

The tool is at form.ms/tools/survey-response-rate-calculator
[https://form.ms/tools/survey-response-rate-calculator].

1. OPEN THE CALCULATOR

Go to the Survey Response Rate Calculator
[https://form.ms/tools/survey-response-rate-calculator]. Response rate is
(responses divided by surveys sent) times 100.

2. ENTER SENT AND RECEIVED

Type Surveys sent and Responses received. Undeliverable is optional. If you fill
it, the rate uses sent minus undeliverable as the base. Pick a Survey type if
you want a published channel reference (email, SMS, employee, and others).

3. READ THE RATE

The page shows your percentage and, if you chose a type, how it sits next to
that published typical figure. Methods differ across sources. Treat those
numbers as context, not a universal standard.

Calculation stays in your browser. Pair a small sample with the Confidence
Interval Calculator
[https://formms.help.center/article/1031-how-to-use-confidence-interval-calculator]
if you need bounds on a percentage.
