# How to import a form

You can rebuild a public Google Form, Typeform, or Tally form in Formms, or
attach a PDF or photo of a paper form. Import copies the questions into a new
Formms form. It does not stay synced with the original.

The link must be public. Private or login-walled forms will not import.

1. OPEN NEW FORM

On my.form.ms [https://my.form.ms/], click + New form, then Import a form. On
iPhone or Android, tap + Create a form, then import from there.

2. PASTE A PUBLIC LINK

The chat asks for a public Google Form, Typeform, or Tally URL. The message box
placeholder becomes Paste a form link. Paste the URL and send.

3. OR ATTACH A PDF OR PHOTO

The paperclip stays on the same dialog. Attach a PDF or an image and Formms
drafts the questions from the file.

Public converters (no account) also exist: PDF to Form
[https://form.ms/tools/pdf-to-form-converter] and Image to Form
[https://form.ms/tools/image-to-form-converter]. Sign in when you want to keep
the form.

4. REVIEW BEFORE YOU SHARE

Open Build. Check labels, required flags, and choice lists, then preview. You
still need to click Publish before there is a public form.ms link. Same as a
blank or AI form: Share on a draft shows Ready to go live, not a URL.
